The design of designer Keisuke Fujiwara's first portfolio book looks at Japanese vernacular to inform its layout. The book covers 15 years of his work, crossing spatial and product design. With a broad range of projects included in the book, a rich set of images is used throughout that look at concepts, products and spatial experiences.
The main idea behind the book design is that of a centre-point, where all typography and images follow a centralised layout. The book engages the use of clean lines, muted pastel colours and textures - ideas that are often associated with Japanese design. the cover is made from textured linen, adding to the natural feel that Fujiwara seeks in his work.
